Mobile service provider Ncell Private Limited has unveiled a new plan for students. In collaboration with the National Private and Residential Schools Association Nepal (NPABSON) and the Private and Residential Schools Association (PABSON), the company has come up with an attractive monthly plan for students’ online classes and learning.
Ncell has stated that the collaboration has been started with the objective of ensuring access to mobile broadband for students, teachers and schools. In this monthly plan, students, teachers and educators will receive a bundle pack of voice, data and SMS.
According to this, students will get 20 GB of data for the use of Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams required for online classes at Rs 250 per month excluding tax. Not only that, to call 1 GB 3G and 4G data, 2 GB 4G data, CUG number, you will get 120 minutes talk time, 50 minutes on net talk time and 50 on net SMS service every day.
“Kovid-19 has affected all sectors, including education,” said Pradip Srivastava, Ncell’s chief commercial officer. “Also, the use of internet technology in teaching and learning has increased.” As we all become more and more accustomed to the ‘New Normal’, distance education has become a necessity and it clearly shows the importance of technology and online education.
He said that he was happy to have the opportunity to collaborate with NPABSON and PABSON to contribute to digitization and e-learning in the education sector of the country.
NPABSON Chairman Rituraj Sapkota said that he was happy to join hands with Ncell in this special scheme to help students and teachers in teaching and learning through online in the current situation where it is not certain when teaching will be conducted in schools.
According to the cooperation, the students, teachers of the respective schools will be able to benefit from this scheme on the basis of the recommendation letter of NPABSON and PABSON. The SIM can be owned by the student or the concerned educational institution, the company said.
